Spring 2026 Update

A HOUSE OF Prayer

My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7).

Our family had the joy and privilege of building our home from the ground up. We were intentional in placing crosses in the foundation under thresholds and reciting scriptures with Sharpies on the studs. We wanted it to be a Christian home rooted in God’s Word and love.

Today, when Jesus says, “My house will be called a house of prayer,” He’s no longer referring to a building with walls, but to His people, to us! “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

It is profound to think that we are His temple. In biblical times, the temple was the dwelling place of God’s presence: holy, set apart, and deeply honored. 1 Peter 2:4-5 says, “As you come to Him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood.” Now, through Christ, that’s YOU and ME! We are His temple, His living stones, and He is our cornerstone, our firm foundation!

As we recently celebrated Easter, God revealed His heart for us as He bought us with the price of His Son Jesus’ redeemed blood, restoring us back to Him, making our hearts His home. As we turn our hearts to Him, we enter into something sacred: a relationship with Him and His house of prayer! It’s where we can hear His voice, and He hears and answers ours; it’s a life centered on communion with Him.

Use your “house of prayer for all nations” at our next prayer call! Come and join us for one short hour to pray on Tuesday, April 28, 9 am (Pacific), with our Palau family as they proclaim the Gospel globally. We want everyone to experience the hope, peace, and joy that only our cornerstone, Jesus, can provide for eternity.

But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:10b-11).
