At the dawn of this New Year: PREPARE to be "utterly amazed!"
Habakkuk 1:5 says,
"Look at the nations and watch-and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days (in NYC) that you would not believe, even if you were told."
"The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land (NYC) will yield its HARVEST. Righteousness goes before Him and PREPARES THE WAY for His steps." Psalm 85:12-13
Heavenly Father,
We stand in the gap on behalf of Manhattan, a city of 1.7 million people, and pray for the Luis Palau CityServe outreach in each of the ten regions that "You would bless them and enlarge their territory! Let your hand be with (them) and keep (them) from harm." (1Chronicles 4:10) As they come together in unity to serve their City and boldly plan to share the Good News,
we claim each region by name for Your glory to be revealed in:
Washington Heights, Harlem (Central and East), Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Midtown East, Midtown West/Chelsea, Lower East Side, Union Square, Chinatown and Downtown.
Lord, we pray for more and more churches to catch the vision You have given to Luis and the NYC campaign; to join in, to pray together, to love each other and find ways to serve. We pray what You prayed in John 17:23: "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them."
Lord, as we continue to pray with "all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints " (Luis, Andrew, Kevin and their teams), we pray that You would open a door for them to see the Mayor of Bridgeport, CT and also to set up an appointment with a key business leader this month:
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will do this. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn; the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." Psalm 37:4-6
"Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it." Jeremiah 33:9
For it is in JESUS Christ's Name we pray. Amen.
